OOC Introduction
Hey all, Just figured I would stop in here and say hello. I'm really excited to get a chance to play Lindsey in TM, and look forward to having a chance to play with you all. I know that I'm following in the footsteps of I believe two previous recent Lindsey muses, and I hope that I'm able to give him life the way that they have. I'm setting Lindsey in a post season 5 mindset where the W&H contract brings him back from the dead and forces him back into their employ. It gives me the ability to draw from him everything from canon. When I do my prompts, they are going to be strictly canon. I try to not use fandom or rp stuff in my prompts just because it's easier on me for keeping track, and keeps the people who might read his journal for the prompts not having to try and figure out what he's talking about if I go out of canon. However, that being said, I'm sure that everyone has their own version of "canon" and how the series speaks to them, so be rest assured that what he answers in his prompts are in no way relfections of the other TM muses and their personal histories. It's just my boy's little world he lives in. If you'd like to RP with me, I'd be honored. I love reading the storylines that you all have, which is why I'm excited to become a part of this corner of TM. However, I don't know if the previous Lindsey (s) are still present and playing, and since they were here first RP wise, I don't want to destroy their stuff or anyone else's backgrounds. So just let me know, and I'll try to see how I can fit my boy in to make it fun for all. And also... his pissy attitude at times is so not a reflection of me. It's just... well... Cordy's death
I thought I'd post this here this time, rather than on Cordy's journal. Hopefully everyone still checks this comm! First I feel like I need to apologize for not having any other pups calling her close friends personally to tell them about her "death." I really wanted to. I was even trying to figure out a way to logically have one of my other pups (Phoebe from Friends) do it since Orlando wasn't able to, but nothing was working. And if you think about it, it kind of makes sense that a slimy tabloid would get the news out faster than a friend of the family could start making phone calls. The curse of being married to a celebrity, right? If some of you want, I can still find a way to have someone call belatedly. That way your pups could find out for sure and get the "real" story. Just let me know here or in emai (pjferret [at] gmail.com). Anyway, now that the cat's out of the bag, there will be a funeral to plan. It won't be for a few weeks yet, though. Obviously, there's no body to worry about, both because she isn't acutally dead and because the fake-dead-Cordy will be cremated. So there's no rush on it. That'll give everyone time to do whatever they need to do. Anyone that wants to have their pups show up is more than welcome. If you can't, that's fine too. I'm going to lobby for it to be at night, so her vamp friends and acquaintances can be there. After that, Cordy's going to be gone for about a month or two, until she can have the baby. Then she'll be back. Without the baby, and probably more than a little messed up by the ordeal, but back. And I promise I won't ever kill her again. *g* Thanks to everyone who's played along so far. I know it was kind of sudden, and I hope no one feels like this has been foisted on their pups or anything. I really didn't want that at all. Mea culpa!
Sorry my girl's been a bit absent. I got married last month and kind of flaked on anything unrelated to real life, but I'm back in the saddle again and have much more free time now, thank goodness! I'm happy to say our wedding turned out much better than "Hell's Bells," and there were no demon vs. human altercations. I was also much kinder dress-wise to my bridesmaids than my alter ego was. ^_~ Anyway, so, yes, I'll be around, posty, and available for at least a modicum of RP. Whee! Introduction
Um, hey there, Oz here. Daniel "Oz" Osbourne, formerly of Sunnydale, currently of here and there. Just thought I would do a little intro and pretty much say, "hey." --- I, writer of said Oz, wanted to let everyone know that I am new TM and interested in occasional rp and fun time interaction. Oz can be a bit laconic at times, but I will poke him until he talks more. I do have a history for him after he left Sunndydale. You can read about it in the most recent posting that I made. It's pretty dark, but these days he's working on playing his guitar, honing the secret art of hair gel and mastering his wolf for crime-fighting fun. Hey potential RP plotters! As of this post and the RP thread that took place before it, Illyria is... well, somewhere. She's trying rather hard to put some distance between herself and any and all familiar faces, and I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to get her back yet. It occurs to me that it's probably a good time for her to meet with Lilah about the offer of getting her powers back, because she's rather determined to have some control over her existence in this world. She's also willing to talk to people who aren't Fred or Wesley or anyone who's likely to go running back to tell one or both where she is. So. Who wants to play with an ex-goddess in hiding? TM Challenges - reminder.
A couple of reminders, any questions let me know: You need to answer one in every four challenges for each muse you have. This is one in the last four challenges, not one a month or a random un-answered challenge every four weeks. Your muse should always have answered at least one of the last four challenges issued. You can see the list of challenges here to count back for yourself if you have met this requirement: TM Challenge ListIf for some reason you can't meet that requirement during a specific period email me and I will do my best to accommodate you. I understand that RL comes first and any reasonable request wont be a problem as long as you let me know. The important thing is to let me know rather than waiting for me to contact you. The best way to contact me is to email. Also, on a related note, everyone please label their topic responses appropriately so that I can easily see that they are the response for that topic. These should also be clearly labelled in your memories. When I check that you are up to date I do this through your character journals and it is really difficult when I have to analyse posts to ascertain which challenge they are responding to. Sometimes it is easy to tell, but sometimes it isn't so straightforward. Hello, fellow Whedonities! I just gained admittance here by the glorious kindness of our dear mods, and shall be providing hopefully pithy TM musings as everyone's favorite lupine-phobic former vengeance demon. If anyone is interested in roleplaying, I'm up for it to a small extent. My mun is too busy for plottery at the moment, but she'd be gung-ho for some amusing comment wars. ;) My Buffyverse RPG experience is vast, having played Buffy, Spike, and Illyria in other RPGs, but this is my first go at Ms. Jenkins. Various vague RP plottishness stuff
Because I've no idea what people's schedules are nor am I in any huge hurry, I thought I'd put up a post here for people involved with current Illyria plottings. That would be, mainly, Connor and Wesley, but if others want to play with my girl she's in Boston at present and will be in New York visiting Connor in a few days. So after a number of conversations, a bit of musing things over, and the making of a VERY AMUSING LIST that she didn't allow me to post, but which she listed all the people in and associated with her canon that she's spoken with so far and her various opinions on all of them, she's decided to let Wesley drive her to New York after all, and let Lilah stew for a bit. But she's still got it in her head that Lilah will be of use, so don't worry, Lilah-mun! There will be wacky hijinks! But first, New York! If Wesley's mun is available we can play out the car trip, which ought to be hilarious since, if forced to be alone together for a few hours inna car, Illyria's going to ask approximately 43984329483294032 questions in an attempt to decipher whether or not this Wesley is the real Wesley or, perhaps, a robot clone. THESE THINGS HAPPEN. Then it's off to Connor's, and BTW, I utterly adore Connor and Illyria's conversations so far. I'm always amazed when my girl gets along with anyone. Oh, also, Fred-mun, if you want our muses to meet any time soon, just let me know and we'll work out how. I cannot wait for that meeting, I can't even imagine how it's going to go. I don't know if you want to have them meet before Illyria heads off to NY or after she comes back. It's up to you, though Illyria's eyeing me strangely and telling me that I shouldn't assume she's going to come back from NY ever, since Boston is rather tame for her liking and she hates it when people look at her strangely when she wanders in to someplace to use the computers that she updates the LJ from. (Hee, yes, I do justify her keeping a journal with my own strange sort of logic. It's also why she's much more likely to just SHOW UP somewhere rather than call ahead, because anyplace she'd call from would have people who look at her oddly and who she keeps restraining herself from killing. Which is why I'm putting up an OOC post here so that planning can be done before she shows up on Wes's doorstep only to find him not there.) Also, to make this relevant to anyone else who happens to be reading: if your muses are located in A. Boston or B. New York, feel free to ping me on AIM at Frozen Illyria or post here and we'll find a reason for them to meet up. She'll meet anybody! *waves* I finally found this community after a bit of poking around -- I knew there had to be a Buffyverse-specific TM community. This is just to say that I've taken over Illyria for TM and will be making her available for RP shortly. I know there used to be one and she'd already showed up in Boston and such, but it doesn't seem like there was that much plot with her, so I'm starting this one over from post-canon. She's stayed in LA and she refuses to be very clear with me on exactly what she was doing for the past year or so (though I'm very loosely following the canon laid out in the comics, if anyone's following those. They're not too clear on what she's been doing, either, but it's a start.) This Illyria will be seeking the assistance of W&H to get her to Boston, and we'll see what happens to her from there. ADMIN: Buffy/Angel fandom checkup; new moderator
FYI to all of the ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif?v=92.2) theatrical_muse Buffy/Angel fandom members: There will shortly be a new moderator for the Buffy/Angel fandom. I've reviewed all of the January-February posts for the the muses in this fandom prior to turning the fandom over to the next moderator. I will be emailing a few members this evening to see if they wish to continue participating in theatrical_muse with their Buffy/Angel muses. I've also had to contact a handful of people to update their email contact info and/or other details. Thanks to everyone for their patience with this. New player- OOC
Hello everyone, the name’s Ten, and I’ll be taking over Amy from the wonderful Christina. She was kind enough to pass on the journal and everything to me. Still waiting for all the official stuff to be settled but I wanted to go ahead and get started! I think both of our Amy’s were partially based on the other, so it shouldn’t be too hard to get back into the swing of things. I’ll just have to see once I start writing her again, really. I’m just saying Amy’s been off for a while taking care of her dad after he had a heart attack to maybe help explain why she’s been so quiet and why she might have missed…whatever she’s missed, heh. I can’t completely promise to keep up with EVERYTHING that had been set up for her, but I’d certainly like to incorporate some of it so if anyone wants to fill me in on Amy’s history with their characters, please do. TM Topic Response / RP Groundwork
What do you think when you look in the mirror?The cell is cold and ten by ten and there's only the basic necessities of day to day life. A toilet, for which he's grateful on days when he bothers to think about. A bed, a desk that resembles a vanity since it has a mirror on it. There's no shortage of paper and inkpens, for some reason. Food is slid under a hole in the door and taken out again when he bothers to shove the tray out. Nothing that even he could use as a weapon, not from that distance. Besides, he's biding his time. So it's stare at the ceiling or the opposite wall or the mirror, and when the silence weighs too heavy on his mind he stares into the mirror until his face becomes estranged. Look at yourself too long, he realizes, and you start to understand that you never knew yourself at all. "Who are you, you bastard," he asks, and the first time he means the person or creature holding him prisoner but after a while he means himself. "Who are you." It's an important question, and he doesn't know the answer. Which means that he must find an answer. And it's a freeing thought, a refreshing thought, and one he hasn't forced himself to look at too closely. He should have, he sees that now. It's been pushing him apart from those he cares for. A mistake. It will be corrected when he escapes. He looks in the mirror and even smiles a little to see how old he's gotten. Not as old, of course, as he was when he came out of Qor'Toh. Somehow when he came back to this Earth he came back as he was when he first arrived, and just thinking about the mechanics of that makes him dizzy. He'll have to get someone with more of a knowledge of magical theory to examine that. He's old. He's tired. But his eyes are still bright and show that a sharp mind is kept behind them. His mouth still doesn't smile enough, but the planes of his face are still strong. His hair has grown longer, his beard ragged. He hasn't been allowed to touch a razor, and for good reason. Here sits a man, he thinks, who has seen too many battles. Is there still so much a need to fight? He has no real idea anymore. Perhaps not. In either case it's something he'll have to find out when he escapes. Along with the location of his son and his... Justine. Whatever she is to him now. Another thing he'll have to think about. Maybe he should make a list. It's easier to look in the mirror now, waiting to know who he is. ------------------ OOC: Hopefully this is the beginning part of bringing Holtz back into RP. I'm still dealing with a serious work crunch so the next two weeks or so he'll be prompt only, but after that we'll be open to some limited RP. Just wanted to drop in and say hello. I'm picking up Tara here in TM. I'm already in TM with two other fandom's but this is my first for Buffyverse. If there's anything anyone needs just drop a line, I'm almost always around. I don't know what Tara's plots were before and such but I'm up for anything really. If it's a start over or continuing on.
